Launched Before Lunch

 (An Acrostic in Rhyme)

Loretta was lovely for sure,
Astride with her clean manicure,
Until underneath brewed a buck –
No warning, so quick, just her luck.
Catastrophe struck, as she flew,
Her helmet removed for her ‘do.
Each onlooker stood, daring dread.
Does fashion count, heels over head?

At last, the equestrienne rose
Good grief! There she stood, wiping nose.
Another day she would return
In fashions pristine, cash to burn.
No true horse sense lessons to learn.

  3. Excellent acrostic. It's so nice to meet another poet. And the picture you posted with this is just perfect.
