Quality Quit

Preparing for a trip I’d take,

I chose a little browsing break.

A favorite shop

Caused me to stop,

But what I saw did make me quake.

No tempting did new styles provide;

They left no choices to decide,

As crooked stitch

And cheap cloth itch

Sent me off fully mystified.

Seems quality has hit the bricks,

As flimsy fashions fill the mix.

In shock and awe,

I quickly saw –

My closet has far better picks.

Coif Duty

They called me from the clipping joint.

Alright already. Got the point.

I sought a trim.

My roots were grim.

What master would I trust, anoint?

My mane’s now overcooked and fried.

My wallet has been diced and dried.

The mirror scares.

Egads. My hairs!

At least, I can contend I tried.

I begged them for a slight retouch.

But it appears they did too much.

A horror flick

Might suit this chick.

But now I’m broke. Can we go Dutch?
