Let's Play the A to Z Blogging Challenge

Let's Play the A to Z Blogging Challenge

Who’s up for a challenge?

My friend and fellow writer Marie Anne, of Write Wrong or Indifferent, invited me to participate in this blogging event for the month of April. Perhaps this is just the push I have needed to resume poetic blogging.

The A to Z Challenge is hosted by:

Arlee Bird's Tossing It Out
Jeffrey Beesler's World of the Scribe
Alex J. Cavanaugh
Jen Daiker at Unedited
Candace Ganger's The Misadventures in Candyland
Karen J Gowen at Coming Down the Mountain
Talli Roland
Stephen Tremp's Breakthrough Blogs

Wanna play?

Here’s how it works:

First, sign up at the A to Z Blogging Challenge, leaving a link to your own blog. (I’m #648 on the Mr. Linky list.)

A to Z Challenge - April 2011
Then, throughout the month of April, publish a series of 26 blog entries, with each post beginning with a letter of the alphabet (in order). That means you will post nearly every day.

Be sure to leave a comment here, too, with a link to your blog, so we can read one another’s posts.

April is also NaPoWriMo - National Poetry Writing Month, so this challenge offers extra oomph for us to start those creative motors. For NaPoWriMo, poets write 30 poems in April (one for each day in the month).

That means four poems are freebies, or writer’s choice, to fill out the month.

Poems may be acrostics, free verse, haiku, limericks or anything.

It's not a contest, because everybody wins. What a great way to start the spring.

Have fun!

Please be sure to check back. The accountability and encouragement will keep me going too!
