Poker Face

Poker Face
(gone poetic)

Plain Dealing

There once was a woman named Ann,
So handsome she looked like a man.
She buried an ace
With her poker face
And took home the haul as she’d planned.

Ann had no dear dreams of delight,
Nor ‘visioned herself clad in white.
She weathered the test,
Cards close to her chest,
And purchased her palace sans knight.

  1. Loved the illustration and the poem. Who needs a knight when you have provided your own palace!
