Hardly Dreaming and Barely Beaming

 Pocketing the Difference

A worker was recently canned,
Departing without cash-in-hand --
Pursuing a dream,
Fell into a scheme,
Trespassing the law-of-the-land.

He heartily orders embraced
Till finally, embarrassed, disgraced,
He shouldered the rap
For Boss’ big yap,
Developing worksite distaste.

But backfiring plots reward best.
Litigiously, he convalesced.
The gavel announced
And justice pronounced,
Refilling his empty war-chest.
