“When we are unable
to find tranquility within ourselves,
it is useless to seek it elsewhere.”
Strange Bedfellows
Strange bedfellows though we may be,
These dears may snuggle up to me.
Let winter call
And snowflakes fall;
These creatures warm me by degree.
As storms may spin outside our doors,
The gales may spray their sternest roars.
I sleep straight through
With one or two
Pet pillow stealers on all fours.

ReplyDeleteTonka wanted me to say "Well duh!" but I thought that was a bit abrupt. So true, so true... come rain, snow, heat, dark of night, my four-legged friend is my constant companion. And he doesn't have to snuggle me to keep me warm, just The Look is enough.
