Always an Audience

A lecture inflated may best be vacated.

Always an Audience

This guy at work, on any whimsy,
Does wax too long on matters flimsy.
Not here to grill,
We’ve had our fill –
We’re fed up to our brimmest brimsy.

No lectern limits do him dazzle.
He’ll erupt with feigned pizzazzle.
So untoward,
Way overboard,
He leaves his list’ners in a frazzle.

Long-winded still, he’ll scream or shout.
Achilles heel? He leaves no doubt.
His steam he puffs,
Despite rebuffs.
The rest of us are punching out.

  1. Linda Ann, these are wonderful! You have a gift for poetry. As an artist and writer myself, I'm truly inspired by your poetry with the vintage artwork. Excellent theme.
