Tossing Tolls
We cannot
disconnect the distance,
Yet we pick our own
persistence –
Spending hours
Raising towers,
Or digging deep to
make a difference.
Constructing
altars, harried souls,
We chase abandoned,
empty goals.
Unless we choose
To let go, lose,
We waste our
wonders tossing tolls.
