V is for Vanity – Rhymed Acrostics A to Z

Vows of vainglory may sound vapid and vague. Still, the looking-glass beckons us to reckoning.

Vanity

Vacuous though it may be,

All the world is vanity.

Notice not that we be blind,

Ill at ease, and disinclined.

Tell us what we yearn to hear,

Yes, you’re simply lovely, Dear.

  1. The poem structure is so interesting--I've heard of this type of poetry but didn't know what it really meant.

Nice to meet you through the A to Z Challenge! Here's mine for today: A Girl and her Diary
