Idyllic or intense:
A-Z verses from vintage visages
I’ve been on both sides of the editor’s desk. So this seems
somehow appropriate, as deadlines loom – right in the middle of what
perennially seems to be my busiest writing month. I haven’t actually overshot
any deadlines lately, but I have to say I have come awfully close.
Idyllic or intense?
A rhyming fife on the freelance life
Excuse me, dear
editor, I have misplaced
A deadline or two. Let
me not be disgraced.
I didn’t ignore it.
Imagine my lot.
Confusion is
building. I’m simply distraught.
Idyllic, some say, is
the freelancer’s week.
I beg, though, to
differ. Sometimes I just freak.
The intrigue of stories
sets my heart a-beat.
Still, balancing
workload and life is a feat.
Excuses! Excuses! I’ll
try to improve.
I’ll pay more
attention and get in the groove.
I’m writing the next
piece right now, as we speak.
Keep sending
assignments. I’ll catch your critique.
