My best friend’s husband Nate
Is fearful to be late.
It’s tick and tock
And run. Don’t walk.
Just hurry up and wait.
Brings marital debate.
To live by clock,
No time to talk,
Affection does deflate.
The pace on her will grate.
This we anticipate.
We mean no knock,
But sense no shock
At his turnover rate.
