Keep on Kidding

Keep on Kidding

K is for Kidding and Karaoke.

Keep on Kidding

A gal who seems guileless and sweet
Cavorts every week on the street.
Each Friday at five
Her drive comes alive.
By Mondays, she’s red as a beet.

She punches out after each week,
Then loosens her locks, long and sleek.
Her eyelids she paints,
Then loosens restraints
To practice what we dare not speak.

Her high-collared blouses she stows
To sing karaoke with beaux.
But each Sunday night,
She’s back to stage fright.
The secret is nobody knows.

How long may her secret remain.
Her travel in fast and slow lane?
Like two persons split,
She dares not admit.
This maid still would honor maintain.
