Stuck on Self

S is for Sage, Stuck and Self.
Stuck on Self
The sage says a glass never lies,
But I think it may improvise.
How looks may deceive
All we do perceive.
When focused with I’s and not eyes.
For how can we know what is true,
If egos disguise all we view?
We glance, but see not,
All others forgot,
If seldom ourselves we see through.
