Hues to Amuse

Hues to Amuse
(posted for the A to Z Challenge)

April 3rd is National Find-a-Rainbow Day in the United States. No one seems to know where this hue-filled holiday originated, but rainy April days may have had something to do with it.

C is for colors.
(OK, I know posting on Sundays puts me a little off-schedule for the A to Z Challenge, but it's also NaPoWriMo/National Poetry Writing Month), so I am plowing ahead anyway. I'm hoping to post a new poem every day in April.)

Hues to Amuse

What colors may raise us from drab,
As artist his palette may dab?
Does violet cheer?
May red banish fear?
Can yellow transform blues to fab?

When grays drag our highlights away
And banish the brightest bouquet,
May rainbows appear

As mood’s chandelier
To turn frosty moods to sorbet.

  3. I am doing both the #AtoZ challenge and NaPoWriMo. Yesterday I NaPoed a "Breeze" and considered that my "B" but considering I got zero comments from AtoZers, I wrote a prose B today, as a make up.

    :-)

Completely enjoyed the rainbow celebration and look forward to getting to know you this April!

My AtoZ blogging will be primarily here.

  4. Cute. And I don't adhere to a schedule either, I'm sure just posting A-Z throughout April is enough :)
