Life Stages and Rages -
A Limerick in Rhyme on the Running of Time

My get-up-and-go has done gone;
I don’t like this phenomenon.
I look in the glass
And say, “Think I’ll pass,”
As I run my lifelong marathon.

Having just come around the first bend,
It is hard now to quite comprehend:
Is my race halfway through,
Or can I start anew?
If I can’t, then I may just pretend.
